Host

Payment

First of all, you will receive payment after the guest clicks the (Completed) button.
If successful the payment will be credited. You can see in the Dashboard column.

To receive payments directly to your bank account, you need to Request a Payout.

You will receive an email (Order Completed) and the automatic system will credit your payment.
You can also check it on the Dashboard.

If you want to receive payment, just click Request Payment,

then enter the amount, payment method and bank account information only if there are any changes. (if there is no change no need to fill in)

So far we have only used the bank transfer method.

With manual payouts, depending on your schedule.

If you want to withdraw your money from the account, you just need to go to the dashboard and

click Request a Payout, then you can choose the amount you want to withdraw,

this amount will be sent to you through the transfer method to your bank account,

everything can be done manually and whenever

Be sure to set up at least one payout method so you can get paid. You can always check the status of your payout in your Transaction History.

If you have multiple listings with check-ins on the same day, your money will usually be sent as a single payout. If you have a minimum payout amount set, your payout won’t be sent until that amount is met.

All transactions may be reviewed before they’re sent. For example, we may review a transaction in order to prevent fraud. This could result in funds being delayed, paused or, in rare cases, removed from your account. In these cases, we may be required to limit account permissions and payment transfers, and you may be asked to provide additional information to verify your identity.

A vast majority of Tetamu.com hosts are using bank transfers as their preferred payout option. Further details of your bank account or PayPal account will be requested only after the property is published on Tetamu.com. Please note that all payout details will be subject to fraud checks before approval.

For the first payout, you will be receiving payment within 30 days from your first guest’s check-out date. For subsequent payouts, you will be receiving payment within 24 hours of the guest’s check-out.

 

 

If you need to modify your bank account details after it has been set up, you will need go to your account - setting.

You can expect to hear back from us – either approving the bank account details or requesting additional documents – within 1-3 business days.

Yes, you can check on the Dashboard and in your email inbox,

Tetamu.com will send a notification about (Booking Confirmed) and (Order Received).

Cancellation policies

If a Host has to cancel for unavoidable reasons, we’ll work with them and help their guests find another place to stay, without the Host incurring cancellation fees. These situations include:

  • Valid reasons beyond the Host’s control, such as emergency repairs (like a gas leak or a burst pipe) or serious personal illness that prevents hosting
  • An extenuating circumstance, such as declared emergencies and epidemics or government travel restrictions

If a Host uses Instant Book, they may be able to cancel for additional valid reasons without consequences under certain circumstances. Some examples include:

  • Hosts will be able to cancel Instant Book reservations online three times in one year for these reasons – after that, they’ll have to contact us to cancel without consequences. Otherwise, fees will apply. If a Host cancels a large number of Instant Book reservations, they may be required to turn off Instant Book.To cancel in one of these situations, a Host may be required to submit proof. For example, they might be asked to provide photos, videos and other documentation in the case of emergency repairs, or a letter from a doctor in the case of serious personal illness.

    If a Host cannot honour a reservation, it’s their responsibility to cancel in a timely manner to allow their guest time to adjust their plans. If the check-in time is within 24 hours, the option to cancel online won't be available – you'll need to contact us.

     

    If a problem stems from an API software provider and the Host needs to cancel a reservation as a result, the Host must provide evidence of the API software provider’s outage or incident for consideration when requesting a fees and consequences waiver.

     

    It’s important to know that Hosts should never cancel for any reason that violates our Nondiscrimination Policy, and any misrepresentations regarding the reasons for cancelling can lead to consequences.

    The guest makes it clear they’ll likely break one of the Host’s house rules, like bringing a pet or smoking

  • The listing doesn’t fit the needs of the guests – for example, if it’s not suitable for families or pets
  • The guest has several unfavourable reviews or a lack of profile information that concerns the Host

 

 

If guests make changes

If your guest cancels, we’ll notify you and automatically unblock the dates on your calendar so you can host other guests. But what about your payout? If you’ve hosted before it’ll be released to you 24 hours after your guest’s scheduled check-in time. If this is your first time hosting, we may hold it until 30 days after the reservation was confirmed

If your guest cancels

It happens – plans change! If a guest needs to cancel their reservation, we’re here to help you with a quick rebound.

When a guest cancels:

  • We’ll notify you immediately
  • We’ll unblock the reservation dates
  • We’ll coordinate payouts and refunds

Cancellations after check-in

If a guest cancels after they’ve already checked in, they must vacate your listing immediately and the terms of your cancellation policy will still apply.

If the request expires, the dates remain blocked on your calendar, so you’ll have to open them back up if you decide you can accommodate them. If you missed your 24-hour window to accept a guest you want to host, no worries: Ask them to send new request and throw in a special offer for good measure.
